Yea, the pic here at the top at opaquebuff.com had gotten a bit old by now. Here’s a new one, and it’s huge! Photo by Michaela Bäckman, many thanks! Logo by Martin Huldin/Alternatur, it’s the one we will be using from now in. We do however have a very limited amount of sleeve patches with the old logo on it for sale.

This website will be updated quite soon. Let us know if there’s something special you’d like to see on it!

Work with music vid & single is proceeding well! Me and Magnus went to Chartmakers to follow the mastering of the single, done by Svante Forsbäck. He recently did the mastering to Rammsteins new album, among many other really nice stuff!

Keep on having a really nice winter! Helsinki’s waiting for the snow to melt away, might still have some waiting to do. And we see the sun, for the first time in three weeks i think! Niiice.

We’re shooting a scene for a music video on Wednesday 4.1, 9.30-14, in Helsinki. We’re looking for a gorgeous and glam/sleazy crowd who Opaque Buff is performing to in the video.

We’ve reached the end of this series. Enjoy the final video by the sleaziest band in Helsinki, One Day at a Time! Video featuring our friend and support, Olavi.

It’s a song by Johnny Scum. Lyrics to the verses we’re co-written by the whole band, something we haven’t done with any other songs. The song is about… well, you get the point.

Now it’s time for final preparations for the music video shoots in January! Released in early spring.

Dallas’ masterpiece, Scarlet Starlight, voilá!

This one was written in early 2011 (late 2010), with some co-writing by Julius UK. I guess its a song about religion. Hope you like it. we like it a lot

Hi!

We’ve been thinking a lot of what we really are doing and what should be coming up next. Right now we’re really glad to tell you that we’ve met some inspiring people who have got the drive and interest to work with us for some new video material. This also lead us to visit a recording studio (even though we’re compeltely broke):

Its also been a while since we’ve let you hear some of our new songs, so…. – some suprises are coming up still this year! Stay tuned (and stay tuned for gigs too, working on that! Next one is at Club between storeys). We also have some new merchandise, finally, more on that really soon.

No gigs… WHAT WHAT?

In the last two years there has not been a period with no upcoming gigs for Opaque Buff – until now since we came back from Berlin.

Do not fear, plans are being made and things are bubbling under right now. Waiting to let you know of some new things about what’s going on, soon

Thanks to everyone who saw our gigs during last week – three cities (H:ki, Sthlm & punk capital Karjaa), four gigs, one week. It was a delight, everyone of us enjoyed it a lot – very exhausting though.

We survived our first gig outside Finland. Harry B James in Stockholm is a neat place and the guys in Posh Vandals are great! ZXCmusik followed with us on the trip, and published a very enjoyable article with nice photos! There’s also some background stuff on us, we couldn’t wrap it up better ourselves.

We also visited Sveriges Radio’s Finnish-speaking channel Sisuradio for an interview and to participate in something called “Oikean Maun Raati”. We missed the show, let us know if you heard it!

Our next gig is also outside Finland. This one is at a cool rock club in Kreuzberg, Berlin, called Wild at Heart, Friday 22.7.2011. REALLY looking forward to that

Social media news:
– We recently created an Opaque Buff Facebook-page. The FB-group we’ve been using was nice, but doesn’t fill our purposes after some updates on FB. So JOIN the page, we need you there (click button in the sidebar to the right)
– Opaque Buff joined Reverbnation. It kind of wraps up all our sites (facebook, myspace, opaquebuff.com, youtube), a kind of headquarters

Last but not least: Gutter Glory??? –What happened to the EP you promised in April??? you might ask. The answer to that will remain a mystery for still a while.
